Thursday Feature: Blogger Blitz
Hi VA Bloggers! I’m Eliza + I’m the voice behind Case Study, a blog about my life as a newlywed + soon-to-be grad student. I talk about being married, post little bits of inspiration, and share stories and pictures to document the seasons of my life. You’ll find gluten-free recipes, giveaways, and some fashion inspiration as well as a new series about taking care of yourself that debuted this month! I hope you’ll stop by and say hello 🙂I’m pretty confident that if you read my blog, you also read Alison’s blog. Because really, who doesn’t keep up with Long Distance Loving? I’ve been reading Alison’s blog for over a year now + finally got to meet her in person at Blogger Blitz DC Sunday night! She’s just as sweet + charismatic in person as I had expected and I think the blitz was a major success. 🙂I met up with Kate for a quick metro ride into the city, enjoyed meeting several beautiful bloggers that I’ve “known” for quite some time including Alison + Megan + Jenna, and spent two fun hours chatting with so many new-to-me bloggers like Erika + Natalie + Jayme + Mendi + Cara + Emily. Two hours of drinks + great conversation passed quickly and now that I’m settled at home I’m excited to go through the blogger directory and explore new blogs! One last thank you to Alison for hosting a fabulous blogger blitz!! 🙂My friend Emily introduced me to this drink months ago and they’ve been a weekend staple in our house ever since 😉 I hope you pin this recipe, make this drink, and come back to tell me how good they were!!Beergaritas are cold + refreshing + perfect for summer. A salted glass + lime wedges would really jazz this drink up 🙂 Make up a pitcher + stick it in the fridge – they’re best icy cold! -

Fashionista for a Day
I wonder if it was obvious when I walked in, that I’m not a fashion blogger. (Probably.) Thankfully, everyone was so nice they didn’t call me out on it. 😉
While I’m not much of a fashion blogger, I am someone who enjoys meeting other local bloggers around the area!
Larissa, the organizer of RVA Fashion Bloggers (and the brains behind From the Runway to RVA) allowed me to come to the meet up, even though I’m not really a fashion blogger. I was so excited to meet some amazing local bloggers! (And I finally got to meet Leney from A Girl Named Leney! Remember her awesome guest post about one of the RVA Fashion Week Events?)
So what goes on at a fashion blogger meet up? Lots of laughing, and lots of picture taking! (I could totally get used to this.)
It’s fun being somewhere where carrying a DSLR around is totally normal.
The two gorgeous ladies behind Notorious Styles
Shanon, Tiffany, Leney, Larissa, Brian, Bree, Me
It’s a little blurry, but you get the point! (Somehow, I don’t have a picture of Tori, but she’s adorable!)
I’m excited to add some fashion events to our events page, and expand our blogroll with some new local faces! Make sure you check back regularly for event announcements!
Any fashion bloggers out there?

Richmond Vegetarian Festival This Weekend!
Summer time is festival time.
And there is nothing I love more than a good celebration bringing the community together around a shared interest.
Especially when that interest is food.
Vegetarian food? Well, that’s just (non-dairy) icing on (vegan) cake.
I know where I’ll be this Saturday: the 10th Annual Richmond Vegetarian Festival at Bryan Park.
(Not to be confused with New York Fashion Week at Bryant Park. Just, you know, in case you made that mistake, too.)
![rvf%202[1]](http://66.147.244.133/~virginz2/virginiabloggerscom/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/rvf2021.jpg)
Join me for a couple of hours of restaurants and exhibitors proferring their vegetarian-friendly wares, while we listen to local music and enjoy (what will hopefully be) a lovely summer day in the park.
The festival lasts from noon to 6:00, and the Virginia Bloggers will be meeting at 1:00 at the festival entrance, should you care to join the pack! [If you are late, tweet to us, or use the hashtag #VAis4Bloggers.]
May the greens and beans be with you. 🙂
